December 20, 2018 Hello everyone! For this post, i would like to share my experience about my trip to Garuda Wisnu Kencana cultural park, Bali. Bali is the right place to go to when you need to take a rest from this promiscuous world. I've been to Bali a few times before and its beauty has never fail to amaze me. Last year, i went to a local cultural park called Garuda Wisnu Kencana or GWK for short, that is located in Ungasan, South of Bali. The cultural park cover a total area of 240 hectares and you need to spend Rp125.000 to enter the site. GWK statue is carved by Nyoman Nuarta, a Balinese stone carver along with his team for 28 years. With a height of 121-meter tall, the Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue is the 3rd tallest statue in the world and will be able to be seen inside a sweep of 20km from Kuta, Sanur, and Nusa Dua.
