AUDREY HEPBURN Audrey Hepburn was a British actress and humanitarian who was born on 4th of May 1929 in Brussel, Belgium. As a native of Brussels, Hepburn spent part of her youth in England at a boarding school. During the World War II, she studied at the Arnhem Conservatory in the Netherlands. After the war, she continued to pursue her interest in dancing and moved to London. In 1948 she made her stage debut as a chorus girl in the Musical High Button Shoes London and later on began to make minor appearances in several films. She rose to stardom after playing the lead role in Roman Holiday , for which she was the first actress to win an Oscar , a Golden Globe Award , and a BAFTA Award for a single performance. In 1954, Hepburn got married with Ferrer in Switzerland. Five years later, in 1959 her first son, named Sean was born. For the rest of 1960's, Hepburn took a variety of roles.She starred with Cary Grant in the romantic thriller Charade. Playing the l
