Nico's Weg Movie Review

 

            Nico's weg is a Germany web series movie that can be found on youtube. The movie is about a man named Nico who came from Spain to visit his aunt, Yara in Germany. The beginning of his journey was pretty rough because he lost his bag the moment he arrived in Germany. Luckily, a girl called Emma and her aunt, Liza were willing to help him. But due to his missing bag, he didn't know where to go because his passport and phone were inside that bag. Liza then took him to her apartment where she lived along with her friends. They became friends and Nico stayed in their apartment for a few nights.

He continued to look for his aunt and a few days later Liza’s father, a policeman told him he found Nico’s aunt bicycle store address. Delighted, Nico went there with Liza just to found that the store was temporarily closed. Not long after, when Nico was helping Max, a co-owner of a café he found his aunt picture and turned out that Yara was Max friend. Max accompanied him to go to Yara’s bicycle store but after a few visits there, his aunt still wasn’t there.

Salma, Liza’s friend saw Nico’s missing bag in the street and gave it to him when they met infront of his aunt bicycle store. Even though his clothes went missing, it was a relieved that the passport and phone were still there. In the end of the movie, Nico visited Yara’s bicycle store with Tariq once again and thankfully he finally met his aunt.

I think nico's weg is a great movie that offers you a lot if your intention is to study and get a few good laugh. I feel like at some point the storyline seems a bit forced, like how nico's able to speak deutch fluently in just a few days and the way he keeps buying stuffs using lisas and the grandmas money. I also really like the way they portray the germans hospitality, like everyone is really nice to nico even though they just met especially lisa and her niece emma who offered him a place to stay while they're trying to found nico's missing bag. The grandma that nico's met at the cafe is really nice as well even though they're basically stranger she let him lives at her house and feed him too. Overall this movie plot is not hard to understand and their clear pronunciation  helps to learn new vocabularies. This movie is really recommended for those who need entertainment while learning at the same time.
